Vitacress Seed Distribution

VitaCress Seed Distribution
Modern farming uses GPS navigation and precision control of sowing to get the best yield of crop, and with the requirement to get the maximum from each sowing season, we have developed a specialist control system for Vitacress to control the distribution of seeds during sowing.

VitaCress Seed DistributionAs small leaf salad plants have very small seeds, the sowing process uses a series of 4 or 6 hoppers with a rotating sponge disk that regulates accurately the amount of seed sown as the tractor moves along.

Our design monitors precisely the delivery of the seed and can be pre-set to suit the different types of seed sown by Vitacress to cover the range of salad plants grown.

The control system utilises high specification motors manufactured by www.maxonmotor.co.uk which offer accurate feedback and speed control from a specially designed control panel, that alarms as soon as any discrepancy is noticed with the even distribution of seed sowing.
