Newsgathering Remote Cameras
To meet the needs of 24
Hour News in the BBC Overseas bureaux, a number of television systems
have been built to allow complete television interviews to be setup
and carried out by one operator.
The systems have camera position and lens control with "shot" memory,
microphone level control and monitoring, and talkback facilities
utilising telephone circuits.
Currently systems are installed in Brussels, Washington and
Jerusalem including one built for ITN newschannel operations, using
a proprietory pedestal. The ITN systems include a long distance remote
control unit, controlling camera position and lens in addition
to lights and microphone levels. |
